NoAdware is an incredibly
popular spyware remover, and boasts an incredible 44 million +
downloads. But is it really as good as its popularity may suggest?
That's what we've set out to research, and what we will be sharing
with you here.
In this review, we will
examine the positives and negatives of NoAdware, to see if its
really a good spyware detector and remover.
So let's get started:
Features:
The features included with NoAdware are very basic. You have the
option to start a scan, stop a scan, select a particular folder or
directory to scan, connect to the update server, and remove spyware
items. That's it. Period.
Ease of
Installation:
NoAdware is a lean and compact file, the
initial download is a mere 2.0mb, one of the smallest we have
reviewed here at Spyware Remover Reviews. However, it also requires
the most hard drive space - a massive 18mb.
Once downloaded, you simply
open the file, accept the license agreement, and choose a directory
to install NoAdware. It's all very straight forward, and requires
very little PC knowledge.
Once it was installed, we
were asked if we would like to upgrade the database to protect
against the latest spyware - it seems this program is kept regularly
updated.
Support:
The support for NoAdware is very good. They have a
LiveChat system which is open from 5am to 11pm Eastern Standard
Time. They also have seperate departments dedicated to customer
support and technical support. The internal "help" option within the
program takes you to a web page which features step-by-step walk
throughs to installing and using the program.
Presentation:
The presentation of NoAdware is poor. The interface
looks like a very basic, and old-fashioned piece of software. As you
can see from the image below, every feature is performed from one
menu - so there's no need for additional images.
Conclusion:
NoAdware 5.0 is an effective spyware detector and
remover. It performs it main function very well. However, the
features are lacking (but this won't be a problem if you're looking
for something simple). Also, the presentation is relatively poor
compared to other spyware removers, although it is still intuitive
and easy to understand.
So in the end it comes down
to what you're looking for.
